Dear birds,

Shut the eff up.

Incessant chirping at 5am?

On a SUNDAY?

Exhausted,

Be thankful it is not a mockingbird who is lonely and looking for a mate.

I had one for about a month that would go from 10:30 pm to 4:30 am. WTH? They chirp all night b/c lonely and stop only when they find one.

I'm happy he found one.

I actually don't hear the birds that much at our house... because the bullfrogs and the peepers are SO F-ING LOUD (we have a pond in our yard). Last summer, we tried to each dinner on the deck one night and the Pretend Husband and I ended up having to shout our conversation to be heard over the frogs. They are that loud.

I think we should pass a town ordinance that nature can't get loud until 7 a.m. during the week and 9 a.m. on the weekends. Who's with me?

When I was a teenager and lived at home, there were these crows who sat in the locust trees outside my room and yelled at other crows across the field. I would go outside to our gravel driveway, gather ammunition, and commence attempted crow removal. It never worked.
